Møre Trafo is officially certified according to ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO 14001 (environmental management). This fall we start the work to achieve ISO 45001 certification, which covers occupational health and safety. Then the cornerstones of sustainability are in place.
Certified for Environment and Quality

Strict Certifications
“The certification sets strict requirements that we as a company and our employees must live up to. That’s necessary when we are to fulfill our promise to deliver ‘more of what matters’. The ISO certificate is not just a piece of paper, it is a continuous process of getting better,” says CEO Runar Tandstad about the certification process, which has been led by Quality Manager Asgeir Tandstad in close cooperation with Quality Engineer Araceli Gutierrez Olivares.

Important customer value
Møre Trafo, like other companies, follows strict control routines where the certification body, through annual follow-up audits and recertification every three years, ensures that Møre Trafo meets the requirements of the standard.
“The certification proves that we work actively to improve for our customers. This value for the customers is more important than the certificate itself,” says Quality Manager Asgeir Tandstad.

Quality
ISO 9001 certification is about quality that keeps customers coming back and keeps your company running well. You achieve this through customer focus, leadership and relationship management, people’s engagement, process thinking, improvement, and evidence-based decisions.
Environment
The ISO 14001 certification is about sustainability and focuses on minimizing the impact on the environment. It helps Scandinavia’s largest producer of transformers and substations succeed commercially without compromising the environment.

Demanding
“Getting certified for the first time is demanding, and it’s even more demanding to keep the certification through annual surveillance audits and full recertification audits every three years,” says Quality Manager Asgeir Tandstad.
