We take oil samples for laboratory analysis to assess the condition of the insulating oil, including moisture content, acid number, and breakdown voltage. Dissolved gas analysis (DGA) also provides early warning of developing faults—such as overheating or partial discharges—long before they can lead to failure. DGA can indicate the type of fault, while electrical measurements can locate it.
Inspection of the transformer's external condition: seals, surface treatment, ventilation, cooling, connections, and safety components. We assess its condition and provide a clear recommendation for next steps.
Bushings and tap changers are among the components most prone to failure. We inspect their condition, identify wear, and recommend action—whether cleaning, adjustment, or replacement.
Inspection of temperature gauges, oil level gauges, pressure relief valve, and other monitoring and protection equipment.
Where analysis indicates a need, we filter the oil to remove moisture and contaminants or replace the insulating fluid completely. Drying damp paper insulation is a practical measure that, when done correctly, can significantly extend service life. Used insulating fluid is handled in an environmentally responsible manner.
In many cases, increased cooling capacity is a simple and effective way to reduce operating temperature—and extend insulation life. We assess the existing cooling system and recommend measures where relevant.
