It was a day of celebration in Sykkylven when we held an open house to mark our 75th anniversary. Visitors got a close-up look at production, met the people who work here, and joined us in celebrating both the anniversary and the opening of our new substation factory.

An Important Day for Møre Trafo

CEO Runar Tandstad welcomed the many visitors and expressed great satisfaction with both the new factory and the strong turnout for the anniversary celebration.

It is wonderful to see so many people here today. This is an important day for Møre Trafo. The new factory represents a major investment in the future, and it is especially exciting to open it as part of our 75th anniversary celebrations. We are proud of what we have achieved, and above all, of all the skilled people who help move Møre Trafo forward every day.

Mayor Olav Harald Ulstein had the honor of cutting the ribbon and officially opening the new substation factory.

I feel like I’ve only been home to change my shirt since the last time I was here to open a new part of the factory, said the pleased mayor.

Ulstein highlighted the importance of local investment and development.

Opening a new business is the best part of my job. It shows that the community is growing and investing locally,

Our owners from the Rieve Kristiansen family, Jo, Tor and Dag Rieve Kristiansen, attended with members of their families to celebrate both the anniversary and the opening of the new factory.

Dag Rieve Kristiansen gave a speech about the importance of carrying on the legacy of his father, Oddvar Rieve Kristiansen, who founded Møre Trafo 75 years ago. He also emphasized that the three brothers are committed to developing the company and supporting continued growth.

Strong local ownership and the people in the company have been key to Møre Trafo throughout its 75-year history – and remain central as we look ahead.

Popular Factory Tour

There were activities for all ages throughout the day, including face painting, a bouncy castle, and a prize wheel. But the factory tours may have been the most popular of all.

Our employees welcomed the visitors and showed them how we manufacture transformers from start to finish. They saw the entire production process – from the first steps to the finished transformer, all here at our facility in Sykkylven. With great enthusiasm and solid technical expertise, our employees explained the work processes, the technology and, not least, the people behind our products.

Twins Lars and Lilja found plenty of exciting things at Møre Trafo, including Veøy's truck simulator.

For us, this was a great opportunity to showcase more than just a factory. We also highlighted the expertise, professional pride and people who make Møre Trafo what it is every day.

75 Years – Ready for New Chapters

A 75th anniversary is a time to look back, but also to look ahead. The new substation factory is an important milestone and shows our confidence in the future and our commitment to developing Møre Trafo here in Sykkylven.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by, and to all our employees who helped make the anniversary celebration such a great day.

75 years of people, expertise and progress. We look forward to creating more of what matters – together.
