Hit the Mark with Trafo Talk

“I’m impressed by the factory. It’s interesting and fun to see the production line and the assembly, where there was more manual work than I had imagined. We also had the chance to give input on product optimization for the deliveries we get from Møre Trafo. Møre Trafo were, as usual, very receptive and service-minded,” says a very satisfied Torbjørn Halvorsen (31) from Lyn Elektro.

Lyn Elektro is a relatively new company based in Østfold and owned by many of its employees. Its core areas are electrical installation, energy assembly, fiber, broadband, security, and training courses.

“The day before we had a lot of fun at Fjellsetra, but if I’m allowed to say it, we had really been hoping for some sightseeing at sea instead. You know, those of us from Østfold are very fond of the fjords in Sunnmøre,” Halvorsen laughs.

44 participants from customer companies joined the customer event on April 18 and 19. On Wednesday they went to Fjellsetra, where Sykkylven Aktiv ran team competitions with snowshoe biathlon, tandem skis and a Kahoot quiz. In the evening, according to the participants, there was “fantastic food” with lobster soup, venison medallions and chocolate fondant.

Packed With Insights

– A fun day and evening that helped all of us really get to know each other. And the following technical day was very useful, with an interesting look into and introduction to Møre Trafos production and products. Maybe we would have liked a bit more on the substations, but still – a very good program, says Roar Børresen (49), head of the project department at Gudbrandsdal Energi.

For several years, Gudbrandsdal Energi has had Norway’s most satisfied customers. According to Børresen, the company itself is a very satisfied customer of Møre Trafo.

Tour and Introduction

On Thursday, Møre Trafo took customers into the factory and showed them production, properties, and operating behavior of products such as transformers, reactors, transformers with enhanced protection, substations, low-voltage switchboards with accessories, transformer room doors, and vents.

After lunch, Tore Gagnat from Mørenett addressed the grid companies’ challenges with electrification of ferries, and Ronny Micaelsen-Magnus Sahlin from Schneider Electric presented solutions for “Smart Substations” and optimized grid operation.

Outstanding Industry Day

“First time for me in both Ålesund, Sykkylven and Møre Trafo. The Industry Day and the technical part were absolutely outstanding, with a great introduction to Møre Trafo’s business,” says Arild Kvarme (54) from Nettpartner, which builds, operates and maintains infrastructure for power supply, broadband and rail. Nettpartner serves the entire Norwegian market.
