Huge interest in the technical days

As usual, the technical day starts with a visit, socializing and cooking at Atlanterhavsparken and the aquarium’s klippfisk academy. Here the group was split into four teams, and each team had to prepare two starters for the evening meal, in full-on cook-off style.

Close to production

During the factory tour on the technical day itself, you get close to the production, the people, and the products of Møre Trafo, which is constantly growing and now has 185 employees. Many are very surprised at how demanding transformer production is, and how much manual work goes into it.

Attractive Arena

The program and technical days at Møre Trafo have become an attractive arena and meeting place where people in the industry meet, get to know each other, and exchange experience. The technical days are very important for both Møre Trafo and the customers, and have been held every year, spring and autumn, since 2013, except for the pandemic year 2020.

“The idea behind the professional days is to exchange experience with our customers and users of our products. At the factory, participants can see and handle components and talk directly with our specialists,” says Sales and Marketing Manager at Møre Trafo, Ivar Lifjeld.

Customer feedback on Møre Trafo products is important so the company can constantly develop and optimize its solutions for users and customers. Participants get insight into the entire process from the start of the product until it is fully tested and inspected. They also get insight into the production of doors and vents, substations and free-standing switchboards.

EL-tjeneste, represented by Lars Dahle, gave a lecture on methods to protect transformers against overvoltages. Then came Schneider Electric with Martin Andresen, Yngvar Andersson and Patrik Högstedt, who presented new technology for breakers, as well as control and monitoring systems for maximum uptime in the power grid. They took part in both sessions. This time the participants came from Elinett, Elvia, Tendranett, Rakkestad Energi, Viken Energimontasje, ABDbd Elektro, Kvam Energi Nett, Vevig, Lede, Omexom, Energianlegg, Tensio TS and Straumen Nett.
