Møre Trafo is a student favorite

That is the conclusion from an analysis and survey after the company presentation that Nils Johan Sylte, District Manager Mid-Norway, gave about Møre Trafo, Scandinavia’s largest manufacturer of distribution transformers and turnkey substations, for NTNU students in Trondheim.

Attractive Workplace

The students in the energy and environmental engineering student association, EMIL, were very positive to Møre Trafo as an employer. 94 percent of the students said they want to attend Møre Trafo’s future company presentations. In short, Nils Johan’s presentation about Møre Trafo gave the students an even better impression of Møre Trafo, and a large share of the students can see themselves taking both summer jobs and permanent positions with the company.

Very pleasing

“Somewhat surprising, but very pleasing feedback. We should be happy with that, and the response shows that Møre Trafo has a good standing among the students, and it’s especially nice that the students see our company as an attractive place to work,” says Nils Johan.

The Story

With film and slides, he took the students through Møre Trafo’s history, production, main products, deliveries, substations and stations for car charging, containers, and equipment for monitoring substations.

Even Better Impressions

48 percent of the students said they knew Møre Trafo before the presentation. They already had a good impression of the company, but an even better one after Møre Trafo’s company presentation. Curiosity about Møre Trafo was so strong that some participants wished the company had brought more representatives, especially from the energy and environment field.

On the professional content of the company presentation, 97 percent answered that they were satisfied. Several students found it very interesting to hear about the technical aspects of the transformers and other in-depth explanations of the topic. For next time, all the students said they wanted to know more about what it is like to be newly graduated in the company, and what the tasks of an energy and environment student would be.
