According to the 40 participants, Møre Trafo can note yet another brilliant customer event.
“This was the tenth Technical Day in five years. Great to see such a wide age range this time, from new hires to experienced senior staff. We get good feedback, and it seems we’ve managed to create an important arena for our customers with Technical Day,” says Sales Manager Ivar Lifjeld at Møre Trafo.

The Aquarium
In pouring rain, Møre Trafo took the participants “underwater” to visit the popular Atlanterhavsparken out on the coast at Tueneset in Ålesund. The aquarium is one of Northern Europe’s largest saltwater aquariums.
Customers in the Kitchen
After the private tour, everyone headed up to the second floor and Klippfiskakademiet. Klippfiskakademiet offers food experiences for social and professional events where cooking is part of the program.
“There were a lot of high-voltage ‘chefs’ around the table when they were told they had to cook the food themselves,” says Ivar Lifjeld with a broad smile.
“Yes, I think many of us were curious how this would turn out, but it was incredibly fun and a great atmosphere,” says Magnus Bolstad from Hafslund Nett, laughing.
With quality ingredients and professional guidance, the customer-chefs could proudly present and serve their salted cod dishes.
Technical Day
On Thursday September 27, Møre Trafo’s operations and products were on the menu. Properties and functionality were brought to life in the factories, with products such as transformers, substations and low-voltage switchboards with accessories, transformer room doors and vents, and the new test station for transformers, where final inspection and fault-finding methods were demonstrated.

Very useful
“Here we get to show what we and our products stand for. Customers get to see and learn what’s ‘under the hood’. We get good feedback with suggestions for any adjustments and improvements to our products. That’s why these customer meetings are very useful for both parties,” says Ivar Lifjeld.

Great arena
Jan Olav Fredriksen from electrical contractor Laugstol in Porsgrunn says both the social and professional benefits were very good.
“A great arena to meet colleagues and at the same time gain valuable and useful knowledge about Møre Trafo and their products. A well-run program from Møre Trafo,” says Fredriksen.
Professional Takeaways
Magnus Bolstad also praises Møre Trafo for a creative program with strong professional takeaways through the presentations and the factory tours:
“Fun to see components and concepts you learned at university in practice, and to see how a transformer is built,” says Magnus from Hafslund Nett.
External speakers at the technical day were Trond Nesbakken from Nexans, who covered cables, and Ronny Michaelsen from Schneider Electric, who gave participants insight into “smart substations” and optimized grid operation.
