Møre Trafo is hiring a Product Manager

Do you want to develop the solutions that electrify Norway?

– An incredibly exciting role at the intersection of mechanical and electrical engineering, where no two days are the same. The new Product Manager joins a solid, forward-leaning company in growth, with major potential.

That’s what outgoing Product Manager Christoffer Frydenlund Westlie (35) says. Over three years at Møre Trafo, the electrical power engineer has led and developed the product department for substations and transformers.

Exciting and Demanding
– I chose Møre Trafo because the work is both exciting and demanding. It’s incredibly rewarding to work with product development, both short and long term.

Substation installation

Christoffer especially highlights the working environment.

“We have a strong professional environment with engaged employees, plenty of room for ideas, and a clear customer focus. Collaboration across departments works very well.”

You Get a Central Role
Møre Trafo is now looking for a clear and structured leader with technical understanding, business sense, and the ability to drive progress.

As Product Manager, you play a key role in a Norwegian industrial company that drives the electrification of society. Based in Sykkylven, you get short decision lines, strong influence, and the chance to work with technology, innovation, and sustainable solutions.

Critical Products for Society
– The most rewarding part has been leading a team that develops critical products for society. We build solutions that have to work for many years, and at the same time be practical for both installers and end users.

Demand rises with electrification, and Møre Trafo delivers more substations than ever. A high share of in-house production gives you great opportunities for fast prototypes and continuous product development.

Shaping Tomorrow’s Solutions
– Møre Trafo is also known for its strong Lean work. That makes this a highly educational workplace, where you help shape tomorrow’s solutions. And there is never any shortage of good ideas from the engineers, says Christoffer.

Production of transformer and substation

The new Product Manager joins at an exciting time, as we establish and ramp up a new production line:

– The product potential is huge, both short and long term. You have the freedom to shape development within current standards and regulations.

Now that Christoffer is moving on, there are three things he will miss in particular:

– The crew in the department, the varied work – and the raw nature with fjord and mountains.
