In recent months, Møre Trafo has been full of youthful energy, drive, curiosity, and good spirits: The summer workers have been here.
What a summer it’s been!
Every summer we give young people the chance to gain work experience with us. For some, this is their very first encounter with working life, and we think it is important to give young people a good start. It is also a nice employee benefit. Several of the summer workers are children of employees at Møre Trafo, and we find it especially rewarding to open the doors to the next generation and give them a glimpse of their parents’ workplace. In the photo above, Signe and Benedikte are busy with painting work that day.
Some have painted, cleaned, mowed the grass, and weeded the flowerbeds – and made sure it now looks really good around us. Others have used their professional skills in production or worked on tasks closely linked to their education.
Henrik and Solan, who both study electrical engineering in upper secondary school, have been working on switchboard assembly in production.
Emilie, who is currently studying journalism, has worked on content production and documentation – including our new sustainability film.
And Anna, left in the photo, who is a teacher trainee, has taken on leadership responsibility for the young people who have been summer workers with us. In the photo she is together with Alvilde and Benedikte, where they have painted and upgraded the entrance to our substation factory.
In that way, the summer jobs have been different, but the goal has been the same: to give the young people valuable work experience, responsibility, and the chance to learn – while they have brought a lot of energy and made an important difference for us.
— Sustainability is about more than climate and environment. It is also about people, opportunities, and responsibility. Through our summer worker program, we give young people valuable work experience and a chance to develop. At the same time, we invest in future competence for Møre Trafo and our local community. This is social sustainability in practice.

These are just a few of all the summer workers who have been with us this summer; in addition, Stine, Daniel, Aleksandra, Katinka, Håkon, Mads, Thea, Mikael, Ole and Tiril have been here.
Thank you for the effort, commitment, and good spirits you’ve brought to work every day!
To all our great young people: Good luck back at school – and thank you for a fantastic summer! We hope to see you again.
