— Møre Trafo started using this in spring 2024 for our welding gases. By using Linde Green liquid gases from the supplier Linde, this cuts annual CO2 emissions by about 32 tons of CO2 equivalents, says Head of Procurement & Logistics at Møre Trafo, Ole Jakob Tronstad.
Stepping Up to Hit the Climate Targets
Quality unchanged
Production of this gas is based on renewable energy (solar and wind). The quality of the gases stays the same, but the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions is significant. The raw materials are air and carbon dioxide, a byproduct from industrial processes. Using Linde Green means that Møre Trafo takes yet another step toward reaching its climate targets.
Focus on the Environment
— Sustainability is a key focus area for both us and our end customers. Møre Trafo is in close dialogue with our suppliers, and we constantly work to find more environmentally friendly input factors, says Ole Jakob Tronstad.

Rising Demand
Taking responsibility and caring for climate and environment matters today for many companies. The reason is above all the growing demand for climate-friendly products – and the fact that consumers demand action and, not least, transparency.
Annual Report
CO2 neutrality across the entire value chain sets requirements for Møre Trafos and other companies’ work on raw materials, production, end products, packaging, transport, and energy efficiency.
Each year Møre Trafo receives a report showing how much CO2 emissions Møre Trafo has saved by using Linde Green gases in its production.
