Earlier this week, Trond Bonesmo, initiator and ICT Manager at Møre Trafo, spoke with CEO Runar Tandstad and floated the idea that Møre Trafo should join the event. Even on short notice, an email quickly went out to all employees, encouraging everyone to take part.

Joining the Fight Against Childhood Cancer

Great turnout and a big sporty crew at work on Friday, May 5.

Meaningful on Many Levels

“There was a very positive atmosphere among the employees around FotballTrøyeFredag, and the discussions about which jersey we should choose became a hot topic in the days beforehand, which in itself sparked a great sense of togetherness in Møre Trafo.”

What was extra cool today was when Factory Manager Steinulf Grøvik got to put on his referee kit again, which he last used in the 80s and 90s in his career as a referee all the way up at 2nd division level. Luckily, no red cards were handed out today, but one person was a bit unlucky and got a yellow card during the photo shoot, but bounced back quickly.

In addition to Møre Trafo donating NOK 100 per football shirt to the Childhood Cancer Association, many of us also chose to donate money privately. FotballTrøyeFredag is a hugely important initiative, and something we will continue to be part of.
