New CEO at Møre Trafo, Runar Tandstad

Møre Trafo is seeing strong growth from increasing electrification and is well positioned for further development. That’s why it’s especially good to bring in Runar Tandstad as the new CEO, with his solid leadership experience and valuable industry expertise.

“We are very pleased that Runar Tandstad has accepted this position. In addition to his solid professional expertise and insight into the industry, Runar has the right leadership qualities to develop the company further. It is also an extra bonus that he is locally rooted – he comes from Sykkylven and lives here,” says Chair of the Board Tor Rieve Kristiansen.

Runar Tandstad (57) comes from the position as Head of the Grid Management Division at Møre Nett AS, responsible for grid development, needs assessment, and prioritizing measures for expansion, operation, and maintenance. Runar Tandstad holds an MSc in electrical power engineering and has held several management roles in the energy industry.

“We’ve been on a remarkable journey, and to gear the company for further growth we depend on both change management and industry insight in top management. With Runar on the team we get a change-oriented leader with solid experience from managing technology- and competence-driven organizations, and he clearly has the personal qualities needed to lead Møre Trafo in the years ahead,” says Rieve Kristiansen.

Møre Trafo is part of the Møre Electric Group AS and is Scandinavia’s largest manufacturer of distribution transformers and substations, and a key supplier for secure and stable power supply.
